Shifter cable 65 barracuda.

Is there a way to connect the cable shifter in my 65 Cuda to a later trans with the shift lever? Anyone try this?

They do. It requires a minor mod to the valve body, then hook up their cable to your 65 shifter. I'll be using mine on my 65 Dart GT with a later 904 mated to a 340. When I had a transmission build by Proformance (a division of Dynamic Convertors), I had them do the valve body mod with the part supplied by Imperial - it's either a check ball or a spring - can't remember which.

Edit: the kit I'm using is for a floor shift; they also have a shorter cable for a column shift.
