anyone have pics or ideas on how to run my shifter cable? you see, i have encountered a problem after installing the carbon fiber shield on the 727, i`m unable to use the old routing, (no room). it`s an a-body w/bblk. are there options? thanks out there

I've had to change cables before because of improper routing and it would damage the cable. I'm not getting the carbon fiber shield but if you have to go with a longer or shorter cable then do so. I had to get a longer cable and put a nice loop in the cable from the shifter to the transmission which was a 727. The loop did wonders. The cable that came with the shifter was just to short and it was just causing trouble.

I would agree and what ever you do don't cut or trim the shield it will make it worthless as far as the SFI rating.
