Any advice on the best way to ship a hood would be greatly appreciated. My best idea is to build a wood crate for it then send it through greyhound or something? Anyone have experience doing this?

I had a guy ship me a deck lid for my 68 Coronet R/T. he put it in a flat screen tv box and sent it Grey Hound. He used the foam that was on the tv to pack it. Worked good!

I bought a Dart tailgate and the guy shipped it by Greyhound. When I picked it up, it was way too large for a tailgate. The guy somehow shipped me a Ford truck hood - well packed and padded and came through in great shape. And yes he sent me the tailgate after I told him he shipped me a hood.

Although the hood I recieved was shipped by truck, the seller mounted and strapped it to a shipping pallet, then plastic wrapped it. Hood showed up without any issues at all!

I shipped one via common carrier (less than truckload) in a crate that I had built out of 2x4's. Held up well but took some time to construct.
