anyone ever ship a bench seat? Trying to get an idea on cost. How much does a bench seat weigh? Will be shipping 300 miles.
 
I don't think they are over 85 lbs. and I've heard here many times that big stuff can be shipped by bus. I would maybe try and wrap it in cardboard and tape it up. You should check into that route.

I just looked it up, looks like the hardest part is finding a pick-up and drop-off location that is close enough to you and the buyer, here is the link though.

you may also be able to chip via Amtrak (if you and the destination are along their route). I had a front seat for my 59 Suburban sent that way from New Mexico to Seattle, fairly inexpensive if I remember correctly) under $50 IIRC
