I am about to yank my overly stiff KYB shocks on my 72 small block cuda with factory suspension and 0.92" TB's. A good friend swears by QA1, and I was all set to go the Bilstein path.

What are the thoughts/experiences out there on these two makers. My price range is under $500 for all 4.

Thanks.

What are you doing with the car? I take it by your name you're racing?

It's gonna be hard to get a lot in that budget, I'd go bilsteins if you're not planning to race.

I just put 4 new Bilsteins in my 67 notch along with new 1.03" torsion bars from PST and I am really happy with the way it sits and rides...

Update on my overly harsh riding cuda.
I lowered the front suspension about 1/2" and it really improved my ride.
It turns out, I was just too tall. I still don't know where I need to be with it. I might go a little lower yet. when viewed from the side, the top of my tire is below the top of the fender opening by about 1/2". I may lower it to be flush. Some cars I see have the top of tire slightly above the fender opening.

Thoughts there?
And, why did nobody suggest that could be wrong when I mentioned my ride issue?
You all are slipping ;)
