Short tail 727!

So im in dire need of a short tail shaft 727 for my daily driver, iv searched and searched but cant find anywhere that sells them new or refurbished.. :banghead: Have mercy, its a pickup not an A body, but I figured with all the combined mopar knowledge on here that yall would be better equipped to point me in the right direction! many thanks!

Do you have the short extension housing? I have shorty TFs. They are clutchflights. Finding a place that has parts can be a problem. I believe a standard output shaft can be cut down and resplined to fit your needs. Any decent machine shop could do this. It may need heat treatment after machining but that shouldnt be difficult to have done.

The truck is a 73 3/4 ton power wagon, 360, 4x4. I don't know much of anything about transmissions though so I couldn't tell you if that would fit my needs or not.

Unfortunately not Kim, it is a divorced case but mine has a slip on yolk from what I can tell.
