shorter shocks

I recently noticed the upper shock mounts on my '63 are cracked and guess the shocks must be bottoming out - it sits fairly low on the original /6 torsion bars. I like the ride height where it is but would like some 1-2" shorter shocks to stop the cracking.

Any suggestions?

I recently had a problem with my rear shocks after dearching the springs, the original shocks bottomed out. I measured the shock in a compressed position and went to the auto parts store and said give me one 2" shorter.
they have a chart that they can cross reference
