A local guru says this is the only stuff to use on soft rubber parts...weatherstripping and seals. The rubber seems to drink it in. It takes several applications for over a few days for it to take to the rubber completely.

You don't want the spray going everywhere. I had good luck using the straw thingee and just barely spraying it under my finger as I went along the rubber to kind of spread it around. Guru guy said spray on a cloth then apply.

It's only for rubber, not for dashes, plastic panels, etc.

I did a search and didn't find anything on this stuff. Has anybody here used it? Thanks as always.

I don't know about that particular product but I have always used silicone spray on all rubber parts. NOT WD40. The product must be silicone only, not a lubricant like WD40. Keeps the door and if you have a sun roof or T-Tops, seals soft and keeps them from dry rotting. I've used it on my wifes pop-up sun roof since new and never had any problems. She bought the car new in 1988.

Cool, thanks. That's what I wanted to hear. Now I know I'm using the right stuff.

We used it in all dealership applications for rubber, especially weatherseals.......stops the sticking, and when you thoroughly clean the surfaces before application, it will also stop the black residue problem you get from age and weathering. Great stuff.

(we also used it as a spray lube to stop plastic squeaks inside the car, without a strong solvent smell.)

Keeps your doors from freezing shut in the winter also.
I learned the hard way in Ohio a few years ago.
Being from FL it was a new experience. LOL
