I put a 3spd in my 65 valiant. It was a chore knocked off upper ball joints lowered k member. Now I picked up an od 833 out of a van I grabbed everything from slip yolk to flywheel . I have two questions 1st do you guys know of an easier way to install the 4spd without tearing it apart again, or should I just pull out the engine.2nd can I use the hurst shifter that was on the van with the linkage for my car.

If you plan on using a truck OD trans in an A body you'll need to make a bracket for the shifter and you'll need to shorten the drive shaft or find one that is the right length.

The shifter itself will work but the linkages wont. Putting a truck trans in an A body isn't really a "bolt in" deal, the shifter location and the drive shaft are the two major hang ups.
