Let’s see if this helps that fuel bowl.

Update! Wow this is probably the biggest noticeable improvement when it comes to hot starts, and fuel bowl boiling. By far the best upgrade I have made, car starts up quick every time.

Is this a common problem with the 4-barrel conversion or is it more because of the double-pumper, dual bowl setup you have? I assume the bowl closest to the valve cover is your boiler.

I feel like the four barrels do this more that the stock one barrel of factory two barrel. It’s just that design of the exhaust manifold under the intake.

So your carb is 90 degree rotated compared to Slantsix64 and appears to have the edelbrock design vs. the Holley dual bowl design. Did you also see fuel boiling problems before the heat shield install? I like your layout better for throttle purposes but where is your tranny kickdown (or is it 4 speed?)?

Just learning from your expereince.

I had the boiling issues with either orientation of the carb.

I would also like to see more details on your throttle bracket design. I have the offy intake and am deciding what carb to put on and the orientation. I am going to use a kickdown but it will be cable.

I used the Edelbrock thick 9266 divided or the 12410 open base gasket.
No boiling. I do not have the part #'s for the east/west or the north south adapter.
I have run both ways, no difference performance wise. This photo I used a Jegs throttle bracket.
