Hi everyone!
I'm in central Iowa, but I can drive a distance for the right buy (a good prospect lies nearly six hours' drive away; I make this post to avoid that, if I can).
I'm seeking a replacement head in conjunction with an upgrade to my 63 Dodge Dart's /6 225 to the super six setup with air cleaner, 2 bbl carb, and intake/exhaust manifolds. I plant to port the head and "gasket match" grind it to open up the exhaust from the stock to a 2.25" system. The head on the engine now has two threaded holes for the valve cover that are junk and another one with a badly broken bolt and failed extraction effort. While this does add to the "leaking from the everywhere" patina I've got goin', I'd like to get something I can keep if I'm going through the effort to spend a few hours grinding on it.
Something nice and clean, recently reseated, and oversized valves would be cool, but this is reality, so I'm good with something serviceable that I can port and grind out and put into service. Please let me know if you've got something yourself or a great source you know of!
