I think his point is, if you're going to drop a non-Mopar engine in a Mopar, why limit yourself? In fact, the small block Chevy would be even cheaper and easier. If you're making such a radical change, who cares if it's still a six?

FYI, some people would consider what you suggest heresy. I'm not personally offended, but I still wouldn't DREAM of dropping a non-Mopar engine in my Swinger. If I wanted an M3 engine, I'd buy an M3.

Im saying sticking with a 6.
Heresy?

I dont think you grasp the meaning of the word...

Neither would i!
My mopars stay mopars.
But some would.
One of the fastest mopars getting around
i know has a 2jz in it.
Each to there own.

I doubt anything at this point in time.

They were most likely producing engines for Chrysler for the South American market back in the day.

The one pictured above appears to be a stock \6 head for the South American market. The only difference I see is the use of studs for the rock arm shaft pedestals and a port for a heater hose on the top of the head next to the thermostat . Also in the other pictures in the link in the first post it appears that someone has worked over the ports.
