slant to v8 transmission adapter plate

I found the slant six to v8 transmission adaptor today, in a junk yard in willmington ca, i have been looking for this adaptor for 8 months, it cost me 32 dlrs for it thank god i founded, thats what i need it, to put a 500 transmission onto my 87 d150 pick up

I hate to rain on your parade, but are you certain this "works?" These were to adapt 727s not 904 series. IE the starter may not engage the ring gear?

Hello my friends ,i already bolted the adapter to the transmission and it fits perfect, and the starter too, the starter sits right on the transmission so it should not have any problems engaging, thank you for the responds, i will let you guys know how it works, once it is in my pickup.
