1960-1961 Slant alternator mounts were stamped steel and may be the source of engine vibrations.

In 1962 Chrysler redesigned the alternator mounts and made them from cast iron.

They are much more sturdy.

They bolt to the block using the same holes and make accommodations for a coil mount similar to the earlier, stamped steel brackets.

This is the cast iron mount.
