Well after decide not to bother with a new driveshaft and NAPA can't get me a U-Joint unless I measure the cup as 7260 means nothing to them I pulled the shaft out.

The slip yoke in the trans seems to have excessive play, it doesn't leak and the tranny was rebuilt. Anyone know what gives? Could an issue with the driveshaft slip yoke have prematurely worn the bushing in the tailshaft out or is it possible it wasn't changed?

The shaft of the yoke is 6 1/2" long, pushed all the way in it pulls back 1 3/4" to make it mate in the rear yoke.

The shaft from u-joint center to u-joint center is 44 3/4" long with the end to end of the shaft being 46 1/8"

The interchange manual says 44.99 for the length but no idea where they measure from.
