Spoke too soon. As my typical bad luck would have it my package of dowel pins arrived empty! The padded bag was sliced open and no pins in it. Guessing usps mishandled it. Anyway, didn't want to wait another week for replacements. Saw another thread where someone had asked where to buy the pins and someone ssuggested making some out of 1/2 inch round stock. Bought some at Lowes for under 7 bucks. Had to make it a little smaller diameter so took a flapper wheel to it then put in in my drill press and took some course grit sandpaper to it. Worked great, didn't take much time, and wish I had done that to start with. This site is very helpful and I appreciate all who contribute their knowledge and ideas!
