I installed mine and never had a problem with it. It went on with no problem at all. The only thing is that it is 1/4 plate and it's heavy. But it does it's job if you want safety when racing. Mine was on a 70 Dart Swinger 340 4-speed.

I've just received word that the TTI headers will contact a Lakewood scattershield so I'm not sure right now. By the way, how much is the Quicktime unit?

I have a Lakewood on my 340 Dart with TTi's. Don't have any issues with tubes hitting the shield. The clutch linkage with the headers is a whole other story...

Please explain because I've heard so many different stories. Some guys say their TTI's hit the scattershield, some say the Z bar & linkage hits... My car is a small block 4 spd. w/ a Lakewood shield. And I haven't installed the TTI's yet.

I don't have any problems with my Lakewood and TTI's in an early a-body
