about a week or so ago I was watching the kids outside, with the duster parked alongside the street, in my driveway

this van pulls up and a lady comes out and says "is that a duster?"

yes ma'am, 71


so we talked for a while and she mentioned her first car was a 79 duster
she had seen mine around town and noticed it didn't have any badges
now it just so happened that still had the emblem of her duster kicking around a drawer somewhere and would I like to have it?

so the door bell just rang and it was the same lady
she just popped in to drop off the emblem

and by the way, she said, it was a 71 duster, but she got it in 79

im amazed at how many people drop by when im out wrenching on it
I had one guy pull up, who pulled a polaroid picture out of his wallet of a 71 340 duster he used to have
it was green but the picture was so faded it looked yellow

Had to have my Dart towed from one city back to my home city. Called up BCAA and the rep asked me what kind of car I had:

"1971 Dodge Dart"

"Nice! What engine?"

"440"

"I'm sorry did you say 340?"

"No, 440"

"Oh man! I have a '69 Dart 340!"

"Ok what are the odds of that"

"So you are saying you need it towed?"

"Yes"

"To my house?"

"No haha, I need it towed to my cousins shop"

So we laughed and we hung up. An hour later the tow truck drive shows up.

"Is that the car I'm towing?"

"Yes it is"

"Oh man, is it ok to take pictures of the car? My best friend is a Dart fan."



So yeah, Darts bring people together
