We are gaining traction with the City of Los Angeles. Los Angeles City Councilman Joe Busciano has introduced a motion to the Los Angeles City Council, Illegal Street Racing Activities / Annual Costs, to determine the cost associated with illegal street racing. The motion calls for reports from the Los Angeles City Attorneys office, the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department. Introduced by Joe Buscaino (CD15) and seconded by Mike Bonin (CD11), the motion was sent to the Public Safety Committee. The status of the motion is pending (we did notice that the usual "Report back within (X) days" was missing). Read the motion: http://cityclerk.lacity.org/lacityclerkconnect/index.cfm? fa=ccfi.viewrecord&cfnumber=14-0054
The members of the Public Safety Committee are listed below. If you live, work or have an interest in a neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles you may want to give them a call and let them know how you feel about public safety, a local track, and why you feel the way that you do...
