Solar Eclipse SW USA (5/20/12) (Next 1 in 2017)

Rare Solar Eclipse is going to take place today(Sunday 5/20/12)!!!
Next Solar Eclipse will be in 2017!
It probably wont even be in the Southwest United States!
It should be visible from the following places!
(For places such Medford, Oregon; Chico, California; Reno, Nevada; St. George, Utah;New Mexico, and Lubbock, Texas; the afternoon sun will become a luminous ring.)

That leaves me out, the sun will be setting as it starts out west.

The ring of fire should be neat to see.

They aren't saying it now but years ago we were told you could safety look at the eclipse by using something with a tiny pin hole punch through it. Maybe they found out it wasn't so safe after all ?

We used a welding mask to view the eclipse.
Overall he had a awesome experience see it!

Pretty cool but looks like the moon wasn't too close. There was a full eclipse or almost full around 1980 ? I got some great pictures of it but lost them by now. I just held a 35mm camera up and snap pictures and waited a few days for the film to be developed--ah the good old days before digital, lol
