This is a NICE Early 1972 Steel crank 340 Mopar High Performance engine. This "package" includes the complete engine with re-surfaced original flywheel, new complete clutch assembly, correct aluminum bellhousing, correct A-body Mopar A-833 4 speed tranny (which I was told worked perfectly and upon inspection looked perfect inside) correct original HURST shifter with new repro. "wood" knob, all shifter linkage and correct A-body tranny cross member! Even a correct "trap door" air cleaner and restored exhaust manifolds and heat stove are included! This engine sat in a barn for 30 years before I found it, but it was kept full of diesel fuel so when I took it apart for the 1st time ever it was like new inside! The crank and cylinder walls were literally perfect. I had the heads done stock at Beach Performance with new exhaust valves, springs and seals and I replaced the bearings and rings and cam and timing chain and gears. The cam is the famous "Street Hemi Grind" 284/484 Purple Shaft. The oil pump was disassembled and checked for cracks and inspected in accordance with the factory shop manual, it was perfect and was re-used. I replaced the badly dented oil pan with a new one that was made in Canada just like the original. This engine has been completely inspected and rebuilt to factory specs by a professional auto tech with 40+ years experience. This NICE 340 is also concourse correct detailed for any '72 or '73 A, E, or B body Mopar. Just drop it in and go! STEAL IT - $3900 Marked down from $6400
