What would the benefit be to using a solid drivers mount and a rubber pass. with a poly trans mount?

The solid mount wont rip like a rubber mount can. The rubber on the passenger side will keep some of the vibrations down.

any help to putting power to the ground? like a torque strap?

nothing you'll notice, But a torque strap isnt going to add any power either.

oh i thought they both helped to put more of the power to the ground

I'm running a solid driver / rubber pass /rubber trans- I did notice a difference from my engine not having to crawl up that half foot. and the vibrations really arn't bad at all, try it you will like it.
ps- I like the poly trans idea, plan on going there myself soon

I use stock rubber mounts on my 70 Duster with a Lowes $1.69 turnbuckle setup on the drivers side for a torque strap. Works like a champ! :-D

I have solid motor and trans mounts on my 340 4speed Duster and i like it. the vibrations are not bad at all

I have the Schumacher poly-loc mounts on my motors, with their torque strap..nice stuff..
