Some HELP Please?

Called Edelbrock and they said just insulator part number 9266.

I am going to be putting an Edelbrock 2176 Performer 318/360 intake and a 1406 Performer Carb on my now stock 2 barrel 318.
It seems I may need an adapter plate?
On the Edelbrock site they say "adapter supplied with manifold" but I can't seem to find out which one (If any) that I will need.
I didn't get the manifold or carb new so there was no adapter with the manifold.

Any help would be much appreciated.

all due respect, i have a 2176 intake and 1406 on my bone stock 318 ,with the carb bolted directly on the intake and it runs and operates the way it should. bought the carb used, dont know if it has been gone through
