yup thats the torsion bar crossmember that the previous owner im guessing cut out to get the shifter to fit! thank goodness AMD makes this piece,i plan on putting a new floorpan in the car,more time and money and the when i looked at the car i crawled under to make sure it wasnt rotted. btw..it is a original 4 speed car!
