Something ,about real rock music.....

Well I'm sure gonna check it out, since it is Pink Floyd.

I really like the Division Bell album, as well as Momentary Lapse of Reason, and Delicate Sound of Thunder. I much preferred the Gilmour era of Pink Floyd to the Waters or Insanity (aka Syd) eras.

I absolutely love the album Animals. Heck, every album post Syd is really good. In college I fell asleep while listening to a large playlist of pink floyd, volume was up pretty good. Woke up to I am going to cut you up into little pieces! Startled the crap out of me, the album "Meddle" is what it was, "Careful with that Axe Eugine" was the song. Listen to it if you like trippy stuff. I recommend all floyd heads to listen to a tribute mashup song titled "Floydian Memories" by the now broken up progressive metal band "Shadow Gallery" :D

I really, really, REALLY like Gilmour's guitar work, but I have never gotten into the whole Pink Floyd band thing. I have tried and tried but they've never done it for me.

Agree.

Something about the vibe of the music really depresses me.

I love Meddle, Money, and Young Lust, and I love all the intricate things going on in some of the songs.

I love "The Wall" movie and concept.

Agree about Gilmore- great guitarist.

I have an original press "Dark Side Of The Moon" LP, that still has the poster and all the post cards and stickers!

I really, really, REALLY like Gilmour's guitar work,

That's a big part of why I like Pink Floyd. Gilmour's playing style isn't fast or heavy, but it's powerful none the less and tells a story all its own.
