Spammers! And Other Problems

ok i have had enough of this. i don't know if anybody else has noticed here lately but there is alot of spamming going on on this fourm. i am tired of seeing threads for things like calling cards in the tech section , or new gas products in the cars for sale section. threads from new members that are nothing of importance except to advertise a product or a website service. the spammers will place the same thread all over the board in sections reserved for tech info, cars for sale, events, ect..... this has got to stop! it is distracting from the great board community we have here. these threads should be locked and removed from the board. the spammer should be banned from the board as well. this is how we do it on the truck forum i'm a member of. we have no problems with this anymore.

lastly on a different note please make sure you are placeing your threads in the correct places! here lately i have seen alot of threads started in some of the strangest places for what the are. example introduceing yourself and asking a question on the web site faqs section. you get the picture.........

Hey demon, I think most of us have just been busy today and only now getting a chance to visit the forums. I totally agree. I guess you can say this is a message to our moderators to monitor this abuse of the boards. There's a place for just about any topic here. You know... everything in it's place. We need to keep it that way.

Just got in late tonight but I'm with you guys too. I've seen the ads that don't have anything to do with our cars in the teck sections and thought where's the moderators at??? I don't get on many other BB's but the couple I have frequented don't allow that. I recently noticed one ad plastered all over the place on every section here about some map gismo thing for your phone. What's that got to do with an A-body???????? After seeing this thing about 15 times it sure was getting anoying!!!!!

I've been working tons of hours so havent been on much. I did move a few threads to the trash the other day and added the members to the banned list though.

hey guys there is one on here that i suspect is a spammer. i won't mention a name but it is about a navagation system. member has it posted in about 6 places on here.if i'm wrong i'll be big and say i'm sorry now, but 1 posting is enough for this kinda stuff. check it out.....you'll see what i mean.

Spammers & Scammers should be dealt with very HARSHLY in my opinion! When you delete there message and ban them they usually find another way in somehow.I get so meany spam e mails it is getting PATHETIC! I have even contacted earthlink about the problem.There have been a couple that I would sort of like to meet in person just so I could give them an OLD FASHIONED ^$$ Whopping! Or At least try! LOL I think if you get caught trying to spam and or scam someone they should take your computer,lock you but up and ban you for life from ever using a computer again! I know I am being a little HARSH but we need to start somewhere! Or do like we used to do in Texas to Cattle Rustlers! Just HANGEM HIGH with a real good rope and watch them swing!
