Finishing a 1969 Barracuda FB and we"re down to the trunk. Believe I saw a board over the spare tire on a car at a show a few years back. Anyone have a picture of the board "in place without the vinyl cover" over the enclosure and what's the material.
Thanks in advance

The stud holding your spare tire in place has to be long enough because the large center hole in the cover requires a metal cup that fits into it and its smaller hole fits through the spare tire mounting stud.

The stud goes thru a hole in the center of the metal cup, and a regular wing nut threads in to hold the cup and board in place. The metal cup is not reproduced and fairly hard to find. For some reason when people would change out their spare tire back in the day most of that stuff would get lost.

Very hard to find this part. And when you do its usually bent, or rusted to ****. I have 2 of them, but have 2 project cars, so wont part with either of them.

Doesn't have to be perfect, but wanted something fairly close to original. Thanks guys, that really helps.
