I purchased my '68 Cuda just over a month ago. I'm going through some diagnostics on a detonation problem under medium to heavy load. Timing seems to be OK, I still need to check the total advance (I think I have too much total advance and need to adjust the vac. adv.). I'm running the MP Elect. dist with the factory coil (should I replace that with a higher voltage coil?) I pulled the pulgs and they are mismatched, 7 are Champ RN12YC and one is a Champ RN14YC. The car is stock except for the cam, and I'm not a big fan of Champs, what plug do you suggest I run. I seem to have a bunch of little problems adding up to my detonation, any help on any or all of these item would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

p.s. I'm the 3rd owner since the cam was put in, so I don't have the specs, but it is pretty mild, a little over stock if at all.
