Speed-o-meter Removal

you should be able to get the cluster out by dropping the column. There are 3? nuts that hold the column to the dash, once those are loose you can get the cluster out without breaking it, other wise the cluster will get stuck on the top of the column housing. You may not even need to drop the column completely, just a 1/4 of an inch to get the gauge bezel to clear.

Take all the scrues out of the front of the panel. Then just unhook all of the stuff off the back. IE speedo cable, wiering, ect. And it should come right out. I have taken out the panel with out taking down the column but it is a tight fit. I have found if you undo the bolts in the column and let it hange down just a little it gives enouf clerance to pull the panel out with out it rubbing on the column.
