I have a 65 barracuda 904 trans slant six. The transmission has the slip in "bung" and bolt down retainer. I am wondering if this adapter will work to convert it to a more common screw type speedometer cable. Mine is leaking at this point. If not does anyone know if you can replace the seals on the "bung"?

From the 65 parts manual - google them
mopar part number outer o-ring 2426332
mopar part number inner seal 2124328

Hope this helps...

Do you mean it has the steel giant bullet looking part that goes in the trans and the cable is made onto the bullet end? (kind of like the 4 speed bung)
If so, the part you posted above will not work as it is way bigger around.

If your gear looks like this, then the part you posted above will not interchange.
