speedometer

Any suggestions on how to remove a speedometer needle? The needle has twisted all the way around. I have another speedometer that I can use to replace the needle but I have never taken one off. Also, does anyone know why the needle twisted all the way around to begin with?

You may be better off replacing the whole unit. I broke the needle and plastic off mine (long story involving a loud squeaking noise from the speedometer). I rolled the odometer on the new one to match and swapped out the whole unit. Easy.

If anyone has swapped just the needle, please chime in.

I've been trying to get mine to twist all the way around for years.

I also just put the odometer from orginal to the one going in the car, needles break easy

For the rally dash ones just twist and pull off.

That's why they used digital gauges in the DeLorian in Back To The Future. Time travel does funny things to analog gauges...
