splining axles?

Just picked up a 9" ford axle and need to shorten the axles. (31 spline) Anyone know of a place around San Jose or close to local that can shorten and re spline the axels? or a decent place to buy custom axles at a decent price?

Looking to run big slicks and a fair amout of power...

I would buy a set of aftermarket axles, I think dr diff sells 9 inch parts. He has good service and prices.
