Spot welding

Eastwoods has a MIG spot welding kit. It basically is a special nozzle that keeps your distance to the piece constant.

Has anyone tried this. What is the basic heat/wire speed settings to spot weld two pieces of 20 gauge steel together?

I have it and use it a lot. My welder is a Lincoln 175. Usually I set it on the B scale and a little under 3 on the wire feed.
