If you can't find a piece of pipe the proper OD, try welding a washer to it to press it out.
I'm about 9 for 10 pressing the entire thing out at once. Have had a few where I just use the ram to shear the rubber out of the outer shell and then use a hacksaw to cut the shell in half and then pry out.
Others set them on fire and burn the rubber out... then cut the shell.

Rubber came out pretty easy. I'll probably hack saw and air chisel.
I have used welded washers on LCA's.

What kind of bushings are you replacing them with?
Torch and PB blaster. The shell will fall out.
