Spring has sprung!

Well, I didn't plan on getting the Barracuda out until tomorrow, but I hit a deer with my Grand Cherokee this morning, and need a ride to work tomorrow. It's supposed to be sunny and in the mid 50's on Wednesday and sunny and in the upper 50's on Thursday. Maybe I'll even put the top down! I went for a short ride this afternoon, and it was great! I can't wait to drive it when I get the 340 in it!!

Whats in it now? I'm in New Jersey and they say 65* for Thursday!!!!

Right now it has a 273 Comando. The carburetor is out of adjustment, and the thing runs too rich, but I haven't messed with it. My brother is a Mopar junkie, so I bought a 340 and 727 Torqflight tranny from him, to go in this spring. I'm currently searching for an 8 3/4 rearend. I have a friend who might have what I need. This is my first Mopar (unless you count the Grand Cherokee). I am really looking forward to this summer!

Sorry you had the run in with the deer, but at least it wasn't the Barracuda...whew! I see that we have at least two things in common...a mopar in the garage and the Postal Service as an employer. Keep us posted on your 340 transplant.
