Springs for a Lightweight Fiberglass Hood

-
I'm going to have to take a look at my neighbor kid's trampoline......
FWIW, I ended up not stealing from the neighbor's trampoline. But I did order some of these off Amazon and they have worked perfectly with the AAR fiberglass hood on my 73 Cuda. I think I ended up bending one of the hooks to make installation easier but other than that, they work great.

Let me say … I have had Herbs light weight spring assembly on my AAR fiberglass hood for about 5 years and everything is just as good as the day I put them on. Even better than that … even though I live in Concord, NC and Herb is located in Jesseville, Ark,
I have gained a very good friend (the kind of guy you wish as your neighbor).
Herb May not have old hinges in stock bit you can send him some … good luck and enjoy your hotrod

Hello, I'm new to the forum. My hood spring journey led me here. lol Is there a fellow named "Herb" who makes some rad hinge springs?

Guess that the springs that I got from a Dodge Shelby are a little harder to find, but they work perfectly on my fiberglass hood. Good trick to not remove the fender and replace the hood hinge springs!
