I realize this aint about my 69 valiant but maybe someone can help me.Just bought a2001 Full size Ram 1500 4x4 5spd reg cab long box $2000 .It runs great goes straight no vibes no shakes .Heres the problem it seems to want to just stall out when downshifting from say 5th to 4th and 4th to 3rd etc. I can do the clutch dance and keep the revs up but that isn't cool.Also do these trucks have a speedo cable or is it by electric sensor cuz that also doesn't.Any insight would be super cool!

Check for a dirty or defective idle air controll motor (IAC)

and replace sensor on rear diff for the speedo
