stalling and carb backfires?

Hey guys...what would cause my car to try to stall and sometimes backfire out of the carburator in low rpms? It's a fresh 360 with a new 670 street avenger.

Check your timing first - sounds like it isn't advance enough.

For me it was a vacuum leak. The vacuum leak was making it go lean like stated above.

It sounds like your timing is retarded.You might try advancing it a couple degrees no matter what it reads. It`s a start!
