Starter acting up

hey,

I had my starter rebuilt about 2500 miles ago. Lately, every other time I go to start the car, it just clicks and doesn't turn over. I then try a few more times and then it will start??

Are these symtoms the starter is going bad? I don't really want to get stranded some where

Pull all your connections from the battery to the starter and clean them and that includes the negative ground cable and connections also.

Next time it just clicks, if you can jump it at the relay, it might be relay starting to go? My $.02! Good Luck!

Carry a small hammer with you. If it does not jump at the relay, tap the starter a couple of times, if it starts, the starter is going....
