If your not caring about it being 'correct', save the weight and size by using a mini starter for a 90's Dakota. I did this for my big block, but they all use the same starters (/6, sb & bb)
 
I have pulled starters off many different Mopar engine's and all fit and wired right up, this is a great thing about our Mopars, if it's a Mopar starter it will work.
I put a 95 V8 dodge truck starter on my 1966 /6 Pete, I would put what you have on and turn the key :thumleft:

Not sure what the part number is for, but if you have a heavy built high compression engine I would do what I could to get the newer and much smaller stronger faster spinning mint starter on it like Kernel Sanders pointed out, I like the faster spinning starter..
