I have a 1974 Duster slant 6.
It has random issues with starting.
For the most part, it starts up fine.
But on random occasions, it will either try to roll over, and fail, and then it will not start unless it is jump started.
Or I will turn the key in the ignition and it wont even roll over.

The starter is only a few months old because I thought it would solve the problem, but it didnt.

I figure it's either a bad ground connection somewhere or something of that nature.

I've tried a lot of stuff to fix it, but so far my luck hasnt been great.

If you have any suggestions, please post.
Thanks!

Replace the negative battery cable and/or the wire to the chasis from the battery neg to the radiator support sheet metal.
This should cure it, I have seen both equally at fault so its 50/50.

Thanks, I'll try that, and post again with results
