OK,
heres the rough in of the console. You have the shifter, then the PIN pad and the avionics switch module. As much as it is a cruiser, a spot for two cup holders. Then on the angled face you have a two way radio, above that a 2DIN spot for the AM/FM CD player, and to the left of that the white thing represents the controls for the AC. Im still deciding what it all will be made of. more later

Here is the progress on the center console. I used 1/4" plywood and 3/8" bendy plywood. All is covered in two layers of carbon. I still have to make the cushion for the arm rest, and everything needs to be sanded down for a gloss coat of epoxy then again for an automotive clear.

So what goes in the middle? A GPS or what? What's the calculator looking keypad thing do?

I gotta admit, it looks kind of cool, like an airplane cockpit... that must be the throttle lever in the middle.

The 2DIN hole in the dash is for a capacitive 7" touch screen for the Nav system and the windows based on board computer for engine data analysis.
The 2 din hole in the console is for the CD player/ entertainment system.
The keypad is for locking down all of the electrical functions of the car. It takes an eight digit pin to unlock.
