Steering box's

I want to convert my 1973 Swinger from power steering to manual. I know I need to get a special coupling to keep the steering collum & a manual pitman arm but is there any differance's between a 6cly & 8cly manual box?
Is there anything else that needs to be change for this conversion?

Manual box is the same fits all cars.
