Steering column, 1975 Valiant to 1979 Duster?

I had a customer walk in to work today looking for a steering column for a 79 Duster, and I mentioned to him I have an earlier model (75) Valiant with one that might fit. I was wondering if any members here know for sure if the column is the same, before I begin pulling my column. They are both 3 speed auto column shift. Thanks in advance for any advice

I think 79 duster is the same body as the aspen ? I also had a 75 valiant which was an A body.

Yes, the Aspen, Duster, and Volare were all the same car that year I believe, and I think it was an F body platform. I think they're longer cars than Darts and Valiants. I just don't know if the steering column will work

Wont work. The F-Body columns have a rag joint due to the biscuit mounted k-frame.
