Can anyone help me, I am looking for an exploded veiw for a 67 A body steering colum with column shift so I can put my steering colum back together, Also how do you get the plug off the wires to the signal switch? is there a tool to remove the wire so you can pull it through the column?
I have the one for the 1970-1971.

Thanks Mark.

unplug the wire connector at the bottom of the column, that should give you enough slack to pull the wires out the top of the column. the wires at turn signal mechanism weren't meant to be disconnected.
i just went through this process like you and yeah, its a *****.

Most tool guys, snap on,matco,or mac sell the tool to release the wires from the plug. Not hard to do,but like anything else, the right tools make it so much easier. Also, make a note of the orientation of the wires so they go back where they belong. As far as a diagram of column assembly, can't help you there :angry7:
