Steering column help

I am getting ready to repaint my steering column in my 70 duster with floor shift.I need to disassemble it to paint it.Where can i get diagram of it and is there any thing i should know before tearing this apart.Where can i get parts if i need them.Any information would be greatly appreciated

NAPA has the signal light switch. I got all the other part i.e. seals and bearings off of ebay. if you are going to paint it black try John Deere "Blitz Black" not too shiny and not to dull.

I used the black trim paint from auto zone on mine and you can't tell the difference. I think it ran me $5 but I was also able to my whole dash with plenty leftover. It comes in a lime green can. Why are you tearing the whole column apart just to paint the upper collars and cage?
