I'm just curious does anyone know what metal the steering column is made of? Is it a pot metal or aluminum? I am talking directly behind the steering wheel, the turn signal and shifter housings.

Pot metal.
High its Steve. Why are you asking I have columns 70 - 73 Floor shift and column shift. I am doing a column tomorrow for a Duster if you want parts they are all out and in the shop. You know where I am and you have my number.

I was just wondering if they were made of pot metal or aluminum. Steve everything I bought off you was great!
I thought you were doing something with yours. Some guys cut the column shifters off when going to a floor shift. I was thinking that is why you were asking. I do have some columns for parts if needed. Steve
