Steering Wheel Dash Studs

Well today I got into my dash to try and find my wiper issue and instead of the nut coming off the stud the WHOLE stud came out. Genius I am I tried to remove my nut and I screwed the threads on the stud. So now I am trying to find out what the threads are on the stud so I can replace it.

Are you wanting to run a die over it? They are just standard SAE threads. I don't remember the size offhand. If the nuts were 1/2" the thread is 5/16" if 9/16 is the nut size the thread is 3/8".

I went to Lowes with the nut and stud but could not find studs. I am going to try using a flange bolt from the inside of the dash with a matching nut.
