hi i'm setting up a head unit with speakers and an amp right now. any tips that could help? and wheres a good factory bolt in the trunk that i could use for ground?

Where ever you mount the amp, be sure to provide for adequate ventilation. If amp has cooling fins, place the amp so the open end of the fin area faces up. I used a cut down metal stud (donation from demo on a construction project) to mount my 1000 watt amp in the Dart with the fins up.
Mine sits under the center speaker hole which is covered by cloth. Works great and is out of the way. Yes, after the system has been on a while, one can feel the heat rising up from it. Thinking about a rear fan that would draw across it for a defroster.
Any screw that goes through the package shelf will do for ground. Make sure screw fits tight and there is little/no paint in the hole.
