sticky clutch

I have centerforce dual friction and when starting out in 1st the cltch pedal wants to stick about halfway engaged until I shift into second. It only does this when I start out. I don't remember it doing this last year and I haven't adjusted the clutch. Is this because of the over center spring?

you have to remove overcenter spring and make up a pedal return spring and stop
i used a 69 camaro spring and extension from by the battery to the z bar upper hole

so I don't need that stupid spring underneath there... thats what it feels like is hanging up
